Project Titles: Orange County Public Schools
- Apopka High School Baseball Fieldhouse Repair
- Apopka High School Softball Fieldhouse Replacement

MLM Role: Architect of Record, Project Manager

Project Descriptions: MLM-Martin Architects, Inc. was honored to design these two projects for the enjoyment of Apopka High School baseball and softball teams, players, faculty, parents, and the community.

Apopka High School Baseball Fieldhouse Repair
Our firm led the renovation of the Apopka High School baseball program’s fieldhouse/home dugout, Coaches office, locker room, storage areas, and entryways, with a focus on creating a modern, functional environment for both players and spectators. The design enhanced team spaces with improved locker room layouts, updated finishes, and durable materials suited for high activity. Dugout was reconfigured to provide better field visibility and comfort, while entryways were redesigned to improve circulation and reinforce a welcoming sense of arrival. The renovation balanced performance-driven functionality with a refreshed aesthetic that reflects school pride.

Apopka High School Softball Fieldhouse Replacement
MLM-Martin Architects provided full design services for the replacement of the Apopka High School softball team’s fieldhouse/home dugout, locker room, storage areas, Coaches office, and associated entryways. The project focused on creating efficient space planning solutions to maximize usability within the available footprint. New facilities were designed to support player needs with better field visability from the dugouts and upgraded locker room amenities, improved storage, and functional team areas. Entryway design emphasized accessibility and clear wayfinding, ensuring an organized and inviting experience for athletes and visitors alike. The result is a modern facility that elevates the school’s softball program and enhances the overall campus environment.

For both projects, by focusing on thoughtful space planning, the new designs maximize efficiency and comfort while providing upgraded amenities that reflect the school’s commitment to excellence. These projects created modern, welcoming environments that not only support the athletes, but also enhance the experience for coaches, families, and fans. The entryways were carefully designed to create a sense of arrival, school spirit, and accessibility for all. The result is a state-of-the-art facility that strengthens the softball program, builds community pride, and serves as an asset to the school for years to come. Go Blue Darters!
